The book of Genesis taken at face value appears to be the record of creation followed by forty-eight chapters of biographies. But this is not the main point. In our last Bible study we discussed the line of life throughout Genesis. This life is actually Jesus Christ. I enjoyed that in just the first two chapters God introduces this life. He introduced his divine life indicated by the tree of life. This tree was meant to be enjoyed as life, just as Christ is for us today.
When we consider the biographies we see that they say very little about the works of these men. The focus is on their life and living. This life is their living out of the life of God, Jesus Christ.
